After two weeks, it suddenly gave a low battery warning and shut down, despite being plugged in. The charger is lit, but the machine doesn’t charge. Since I can’t turn it on in order to wipe the hard drive, I can’t return it without paying someone to erase it. What a piece of junk. Get a Mac! (I did.)

Had two bad experiences–first Asus came with a dead spot in the lower right corner of the screen. Small but still a dead spot. Returned and waited for the replacement. It arrived and Windows 7 is mis-installed and cannot be repaired. Think I’ll switch to another brand.

After expecting to be able to use this a product as a mini-laptop, I’ve learned that it has resolution problems and doesn’t work with applications and TV’s that need regular VGA resolution. It’s performance is slow and any movie projection to a TV is slow and jumpy. In the meantime, regular laptops have pretty much come down in price to about the same as this product and do not have these issues.

I don’t understand why ASUS used non-standard resolution.

This will become a present to someone who just needs an email and internet device.

    I’m getting a laptop.

I got it on Monday. The overall performance is fine. I tried to use the function key+F10 to mute or the function key+F11/12 to increase or decrease the volume. But it didn’t work! The call center is only available from Mon. to Fri. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks.

Prompt delivery. Easy to carry. Good battery life. On the road I needed email, skype and internet access. These were all good. Not being a knowledgable user I had problems when I lost the use of the mouse. My son was able to restore it and he didn’t know how he did it. so all is well.
